The ‘Taranga property’ is run by 5th and 6th generation family members, and the cellar door is located in the renovated 1850’s worker’s cottage, with fantastic views overlooking the surrounding vineyards and the Willunga foothills. It's renowned for its premium Shiraz along with many ‘alternative varieties’ including Fiano, Viognier, Grenache, Tempranillo, Sagrantino, Vermentino and Cabernet. Battle of Bosworth makes single vineyard, organically grown wines from the family vineyards located in Willunga, Battle of Bosworth make wines with flavour, texture, purity and balance, that best express unique characteristics of the Willunga foothills site. The Cellar Door is an old 1850's converted chaff shed and stables which has elevated views over the vines looking north to McLaren vale and west to the Gulf St Vincent. Wine tastings are held in the fomer olive press and barn built in 1853 and which is positioned on a ridge top above the southern lip of the Onkaparinga River National Park. The home of Paxton Wines is historic Landcross Farm, located at the gateway to McLaren Vale. The property is a historically significant 1840's sheep and wheat farm. The Cellar Door has commanding views to be enjoyed over the vales and Willunga Hills. Lovely wines farmed biodynamically.
This quirky cellar door is as comfortable as the kitchen table but with the best Riedel glassware. There's fresh baked sour dough bread and fantastic local olive oil to perk up the palate. Sit around the hand-crafted refectory table while hearing about and tasting the wines. This family winery produces a range of estate-grown handmade wines from old vines. It has an amazing setting and the vineyard was a star location in the feature film The Boys Are Back.

Minko Vineyards are in the heart of the southern Fleurieu Peninsula and specialise in Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and practice eco-sustainable viticulture. Minko Cellar Door and Providore ("provider of urban pantry foods") is stutated in the main street of Willunga.
The cellar door at Chapel Hill is set within an historic 19th century stone church from which the winery takes its name. Situated in the hills overlooking McLaren Vale, views from the cellar door include a stunning panorama from the Adelaide Hills to Willunga, the coast and the Onkaparinga National Park. Chapel Hill’s cellar door is also a showcase for their own produce made by the Gourmet Retreat, including Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Sambal, Dukkah and Verjuice, as well as seasonal produce.
Kay Brothers is the oldest McLaren Vale winery still in original founding family hands with Herbert’s son Cuthbert and Cuthbert’s son Colin continuing the family winemaking tradition. The cellar door is part of the original winery complex and boasts some stunning panoramic views of the surrounding picturesque vineyards, valleys and hillsides. The D'Arenberg cellar door is housed in the restored 19th century homestead, with views over McLaren Vale, the Willunga Hills and the Gulf St Vincent. Taste the wine, talk with the knowledgeable staff and hear about a racehorse named Footbolt, money spiders, dead arms, laughing magpies, lucky lizards and more. Private tastings and wine Blending session can be arranged. Enjoy an exceptional lunch at the famous D'Arrys Verandah restuarant next to the cellar door.
Yangarra is devoted to minimal intervention in viticulture and winemaking with a desire to produce wines that are the most brilliant possible reflection of the Estate's unique terroir and provide a profound sense of place. A structured private tasting or a special behind-the-scenes tour with a guided walk through the winery can be arranged or perhaps have a tour of select vineyard blocks, including "the beach" bush vine Grenache vineyard planted in 1946 - among the oldest in the region. You can of course just drop in for a tasting. Open 7 days a week.
Penny's Hill offer not only wine tasting, but local food produce (including fresh eggs from their very own on-site chooks), chooks, merchandise, coffee, treats and a great place to sit, relax and have a chat. Coriole is situated in the undulating hills of the densely planted McLaren Vale region just within sight of the sea. The original farmhouses were built in 1860 and are now the epicentre of the garden and cellar door at the winery. The original vineyards were planted immediately after the first world war. . Willunga Creek Wines is a family-owned producer of superior quality, hand-crafted wines. The Willunga Creek range of wines is relatively small in number – but in no way are they small in flavour.
