We are truly blessed in the McLaren Vale wine region with a fantastic range of vineyards and cellar doors serving the best local fresh produce. Many McLaren Vale wineries have won awards for their food and service and there is plenty of choice to suit any budget. Listed below you'll find some of our favourites covering everything from degustation fine dining, to platters, tapas and sharing plates. Polly's Lounge is a relaxed offering on Level 3 of the d'Arenberg Cube. Enjoy coffee, casual food and of course, d’Arenberg’s acclaimed wines. Eat@Polly's is filled with quirky art, and has spectacular views of the McLaren Vale wine region. Open for light lunch daily 12-3pm, with a reduced all day menu available 10am-5pm.

Mitolo Wines new restaurant "Little Wolf" focuses on house made, house grown and locally sourced produce that delivers striking modern flavour. Ekhidna Wines Restaurant offers one of the most picturesque dining experiences on the Fleurieu Peninsula. The menu showcases the best of locally-sourced produce and organic produce from the gardens. One of McLaren Vale's undisputed best, dÁrry's Veranda restaurant is nothing short of spectacular. The view alone should be enough to entice you to stay for lunch, but the veranda (and there really is one: a modern corrugated iron, timber and glass veranda built onto the side of the winery's original homestead) offers so much more. Chef Peter Reschke serves up fine-dining mod-Oz dishes that will blow you away, and go quite nicely with the Shiraz, too. Open for lunch 7 days. Reservations essential. Drop into the cellar door at Mollydooker any day of the week for a warm welcome and a tasting. Harry’s Deli, offers casual dining inside the Wirrra Wirra refurbished cellar door space and in the courtyard overlooking the native gardens and the Scrubby Rise vineyard. At Fox Creek Wines picnic in the beautiful gardens amongst ancient eucalyptus and olive trees adjacent to a lake, with water birds and the bridge which crosses 'Fox Creek' on the way to the historic cottage. There are regional platters available for those wishing to linger longer with a glass of wine. All the products including vegan cheese are from South Australian family owned companies, just like Fox Creek Wines. Let your children test their skills on the free treasure hunt throughout the Cellar Door gorgeous gardens and grounds. They even get a prize if they can find the treasure! Wine tasting is only the beginning at the Gemtree Sustainable Cellar Door. They serve organic tea, coffee, soft drinks and sweets and their platters feature only the finest local and organic produce. The deck overlooks the organic vineyards and all the way to the sea, plus the beautiful licensed lawn area beneath the deck is equipped with picnic tables, shady umbrellas and picnic rugs, you'll find everything you need for a lovely day out. Your children are fully catered for as they have a playground right next to the deck, an enclosed grass area where they can say hello to the pet sheep and two alpacas, Gus and Caruso, through the fenced off dam. Cucina di Strada at Chalk Hill Wines
Cucina di Strada, South Australia’s newest pizza destination can be enjoyed with a wine, gin and sweeping McLaren Vale views. Their unique pizza “pinsa” is “between Neapolitan and Roman-style pizza”, says Adelaide pizza maker Ettore Bertonati. He's developed the thicker, but still light, focaccia-style dough, which is pushed out by hand and baked in a tray on stone. Unlike Neapolitan pizza, which requires folding – or even cutlery – the sturdier pinsa can be eaten with one hand while holding a drink. Other food offerings will include meatballs, croquettes and traditional sweets such as pizzelle. In this stunning setting you can grab your pizza, throw a rug out on the lawn and relax with glass of Chalk Hill Wine or a Gin from Never Never distilling Open Thursday to Monday: 11am - 5pm (closed Tuesday and Wednesday). Olivers Taranga have recently teamed up with our awesome friend Sarah who runs an amazing whole food catering business called‘Real Food Life’. On the weekends they'll be offering her colourful displays of local produce and amazing raw treats to their customers on weekends. Whether you need platters to graze on throughout a group tasting out on the deck, or the delicious produce boxes which can be neatly packed up and taken to your next destination.
